Adventures in Double Knitting
Tuesdays February 5 - 19 [3 WEEKS]: 1 - 3:30 PM [Jane Hughes Jackson]
Double knitting is knitting that creates a reversible fabric so that the two sides are opposites. Once you have learned the basics you can create your own designs.
The student should have basic knitting skills; knit, purl, etc. and knitting tools like embroidery needle, ruler, scissors, crochet hook, etc. you will need specifically two or more different color yarns of the same weight, two fingering, two worsted, etc. and the appropriate needles. You may want to have several needle sizes because your gauge in double knitting may be looser.
