Torch working: Also called lamp working, is an introductory class to the basics of Borosilicate glass. We will use glass rods and a torch (bolted to the table) to melt and form the glass into small sculptures and wearable pendants. Campers will learn forms as well as color applications of the medium. We will start with solid forms and move to hollow forms if the students feel confident with the solid forms first. Glass will need to annealed overnight to prevent cracking.
