Textural Throwing
Saturdays. May 2 [1 DAY]: 1 - 5PM [Ginger Lukas]
Students will spend an afternoon talking about how to create textures on the sides of their thrown pots. This is not a handbuilding class! All throwing! We will be throwing and and then altering all in one day. Emphasis will be on making metal and plastic ribs and cutting personal profiles for students to use in class and on their own. Other textures will be explored. We will discuss other topics as requested by the class (glazes that highlight texture best, advanced forms, etc). Must have previous throwing experience and be able to pull walls (without good walls you can't use ribs). You will glaze on your own in open studio or another class, if enrolled in another class.
