Beginnermediate Ceramics
Mondays April 1 - May 20 [8 WEEKS]: 6 - 9 PM [Allan Masterson] This is a great class for beginners! The goal of this course is to educate new students on basic techniques that will enable them to create both functional and non-functional vessels on the wheel. The focus is primarily on the individual needs of students, to instruct them on how to use their own hand shape to maximize success in the studio. We will create and finish a full dining set by the end of the course. The curriculum includes wheel throwing, hand building attachments, glaze techniques and chemistry, and 3D composition.
SUPPLIES: 8 Piece Pottery Tool Kit can be purchased from our shop online, $10. The kits will be waiting for you on your first day of class. Also needed are a 1 gallon container to hold supplies/and be a water bucket, an old towel, and a full-front apron.
