Intro to Photography

Tuesdays April 23 - May 21[5 WEEKS]: 6 - 8PM [Brian Jester], Photo Walk Date and Time: May 18th. 9am Washington Park (Weather Depending - Make up days will be discussed if necessary.)
Do you own a camera? Have you gotten the most out of your camera equipment? No matter your skill level, the goal of this class is to teach you how to use the equipment you own, and become a better photographer. We will cover the fundamentals of how your camera operates and give you the confidence to use it. The first 4 weeks of this class will be held in the classroom. The classroom lectures will be very technical and cover all the basic settings of your camera. You will learn about Shutter Speeds, Apertures, ISO, and other important settings and functions. You will learn why these are important and how to control them in any given situation. The last class (the 5th week) will consist of a 3 hour photo walk at Washington Park on May 18th. Here you will have the opportunity to use some of the skills you've learned in class. I will be along to help guide you and answer any of your questions.
Supplies: You will need a working digital camera with full manual controls. ( no point and shoots ) DSLR, micro four thirds, and mirrorless cameras are all welcome. If you do not own a camera but would still like to take the class let us know. There are a limited number of Digital Cameras available to rent for the duration of the class.
