Tuesdays, September 29 - November 17 [8 weeks]: 9 AM - 12 PM [Marianne Stremsterfer]
Students will explore the "Matissean" philosophy towards art, spending time pen and ink drawings, adding in some charcoal, using the Fauvist approach to painting, and ending with the marvelous Matisse cutouts! As always, the freedom to concentrate on one area of expertise is available while following Henri's approach to color and simplicity of form.
Ages 16+
SUPPLIES: A pair of sharp scissors, drawing pen such as an extra fine Sharpie or Pigma pen, and personal personal paints or brushes you wish to use though SAA has brushes and paints for student use.
