Tuesdays, September 29 - November 17 [8 Weeks]: 6 - 9 PM [Betsy Dollar]
This class will explore the different approaches to screen printing, or pressing ink through a stencil on a stretched canvas. We will start with simple contact paper stencils, moving on to make direct emulsion stencils in the screens using hand-drawn film positives. If time allows, we will move on to computer generated and color separated films. We will print on paper, but if you wish to print on fabric you are welcome to bring in t-shirts, tote bags, or other flat-woven fabrics.
