Wednesdays, July 8 - August 26 [8 Weeks]: 6 - 9 PM [Kaye Demlow]
Intro to Metals students will learn the tools, materials, and processes of basic metal fabrication. The course will cover basic metal-forming, soldering techniques, patinas, and basic stone setting. We will also have the option of covering sculptural finishes.
Ages 16+
​SUPPLIES: Students should purchase some amount of 18-26g sheet of copper, brass or silver. They should also purchase a cabochon cut stone with the smallest measurement being no smaller than 10 mm. Sterling silver or copper strip 28g and height is based on the stone. Details will be discussed during the first class.
​Tools and some materials will be provided by SAA for students. Student cost for further materials will depend on project design.
