Prongs
Mondays January 13 - March 2. 12 - 3 PM [Meghan Tippy Reese]
Class will learn about, design and hand fabricate a prong settings for cabochon or faceted stones. students will build on soldering skills and use a variety of hand tools and flex-shaft accessories to create custom settings for individual stones. Open to students who have completed an introductory metals course; basic soldering skills, hand tool and safety knowledge are required. SUPPLIES: Students should have mechanical pencil, fine point sharpie, and optivisor or magnification as needed. Silver wire and strip will be our primary materials for construction.
