Cosplay (Fake) Weapon Prop Making
Mondays September 30 - November 15[8 WEEKS] : 6 - 9 PM [Kathy Adams]Learn the Awesome art of creating Movie quality Props. You will learn how to take an existing real weapon or object like a baseball bat, Ax, Crowbar, Fireplace Poker, sword, or another object and turn into a usable safe prop for Cosplay, Halloween. Theater production, Indie Movie, or Party. You will learn how to make a two part mold of your object using Gypsum stone and silicone. You will learn how to use , fast curing, soft Poly-foams, or Fast curing, two-part Polymer Rigid (plastic). Learn how to give internal structure support to your prop and how to finish it off with a cool, realistic paint job using different techniques including air brush. It's Fun and Great for Cosplay, Halloween, or anytime of the year. Supplies: The Object you wish to use as your prop. (Check with instructor in the 1st class to discuss your prop before purchasing or bringing it in.) Possible Supplies you may need to order. Monster Makers Sculpting Clay - 29$ Sculpting tools - 20$ Mixing buckets and molding supplies. (Will discuss at a later date in class) 15$ - 20$ Do not order/Purchase any supplies/tools until after 1st class please. Instructor will go over exactly what you need to order. It may very from student to student.
